Remote translation is possible for nearly all documents and text. However, it is the responsibility of the client to check and ensure compliance with the specific requirements of the receiving party, e.g. organizations, associations, government agencies, etc. The translator will assume no responsibility or liability in this regard. Please note that some entities such as Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) require that translations be of the original document or of the certified copy of the original document (click here to read more on this). Though some clients have chosen to have their documents translated electronically without the original being sighted by the translator, and they have apparently experienced no issues so far, it still might be a risky way of doing it. Nevertheless, if you choose to have your documents translated from a regular copy, image, or other electronic file formats, please note that every certified translation by Ryan Emami specifies how it has been carried out, e.g. from the original document, a certified copy, regular copy, PDF file, image, etc., and whether it has been received in-person or electronically. Once again, the translator will assume no responsibility in this regard.

Some ways do having your documents translated are listed below:

1. Sending a picture/scanned copy of the document so that the translation process begins, and then bringing or mailing the original document before receiving the translated document; the translation will specify that it has been carried out from the original document.

2. Sending a picture/scanned copy of the document so that the translation process begins, and then mailing a certified copy of it; the translation will indicate that it has been carried out from a certified copy of the original document, and the translation will be delivered after the certified copy is received.*

3. Sending a picture/scanned copy of the document without bringing or mailing the original or its certified copy; the translation will state that it has been carried out from a picture/scanned copy/regular copy.
